I'm also EBF. My daughter is 2 1/2 months old and I started the mini pill after my 6 week appt. which was about a month and a few days ago. About two days after I started the mini pill I had a period that lasted about 5 or 6 days. My doctor said there might be some spotting but I swear this was more like a period so I was really worried . After that I haven't had a period since and I'm still on the mini pill. @mv92,
Interesting. I just read what the Planned Parenthood site says. That's so strange. Every piece of literature I've read and every single doctor I've told I'm EBF and don't want to take hormonal birth control have warned me that you can still get pregnant while breastfeeding.
@inkymomma_, I'm still taking the mini pill , I just wanna make sure if my irregular periods are normal , i DO NOT want another baby lol I tried getting the morena but my uterus is too big 😑
Breastfeeding isn't a form of birth control, but it does affect the hormones in your body enough to screw with menstruation. Some women won't get a period for the entire time they breastfeed, but as a general rule, when stimulation to the breast is decreased, even by using a pacifier, your period can return. If it's not regular, that's okay. But do not rely on breastfeeding as birth control. You can still get pregnant if you're breastfeeding and not getting a period.

I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
