How did you get him off of it? My son uses it for soothing and also for bedtime. We want to get him off now though. Hes 1 year and 2 months.

I just took it from him because he's 18 months now, and I told him it was time to give up Binky I reassured him though because he did whine a little bit for it and looked for it. I also comfort him which made him feel better, did little activities like finger painting his favorite and took him outside to play. Eventually he forgot about it lol. But your baby still young I would say try in another two months at least. @andrewsmommy,

We want to get rid of it now because hes getting his teeth in pretty quick. already getting his back teeth in and we dont want the pacifier to mess them up. We let him go through out the day with it just at bedtime is when he really wants it. or if hes crying too much

I totally understand that, because it was starting to mess with my son's teeth and once we removed it I've noticed his teeth shifting back to normal. Because long term use can cause overbites and oral dental issues. I will do it slowly and try to not give in when he cries. Try finding a different solution and before you know it he will not be interested in it anymore. Or throw them out completely that's what I did lol. @andrewsmommy,
