question if you are having a scheduled c-section is it normally scheduled for before or after your due date?

Always before with everyone I know.

@kandidenise1989 thats what i was thinking I have the option to schedule a c-section for this baby or try Vbac and was just curious thank you!!

@aaquino I want another child. But my last was a emergency c section and I amd terrified to have another c section!!

@aaquino My first 3 were completely natural. I had such a hard time with the section.

this will be my second and i had an emergency c-section with my first so now I'm terrified of a vaginal birth cause I know what to expect with a c-section my mind went completely opposite to most people 😂

my 1 st was emergency anf my 2nd was scheduled a week before my due date

but I lovvvveedddd my surgeon for my emergency c-section i wish i could have him again he made me feel so comfortable and he was the sweetest

@xoxo512070 did you have any complications the second pregnancy? cause I havent had any issues so far so i was surprised they said I could schedule a c-section

@aaquino no complications but because my first son got stuck, which is why we had the emergency c-section, my doctor didn't want to chance it the 2nd time around. The only thing from my 2nd c-section is that i lost a lot of blood and was anemic (levels supposed to be at 12, mine were 7)

@xoxo512070 Oh okay that makes a ton of sense! omg thats so scary im glad everything worked out!! my c-section was because after a week in induced labor for pre-eclampsia my daughters heart rate was dropping with each contractions and cord was wrapped twice abound her neck so I just thought it was a little strange i was given the option for another c-section

@aaquino @xoxo512070 My youngest sons heart dropped so low at 35 weeks. My first c section and it was traumatic. I was in the hospital for 7 days my baby was released at 6 days. His cord was also wrapped twice. He was purple when they pulled him out. Both of his lungs were collapsed. But I don't regret it. It saved his life.

@kandidenise1989 wow that's unbelievable im so happy he made it out of that situation thats also very scary labor is beautiful honestly but so many things can also go wrong that its also a stressful time!

@aaquino @kandidenise1989 both very scary stories! my goodness, i never had anything like that, i even got released from the hospital the day after my 2nd c-section, even though i was still anemic!

I'm pretty sure for scheduled they do it a week before the due date. I was induced with my first at 40 weeks but they wanted me to have him at 39 weeks but I refused, then with my second I had him via emergency c section at 29 weeks. I preferred the c section over the vaginal birth but I'm hoping I can at least try a vbac this time around.

for a example: my due date is February 5 but my c- section is shudule for january 30 @7:30 am because im high risk with lupus
