Researching how to exclusively pump breast milk. It seems really interesting, I may try it

What does that mean exactly?

Before I returned to work I only pumped once a day, typically in the a.m. because one or both breasts would be engorged. My son would feed from one then I'd pump the other. That gave me a little stash that he feeds from while I'm at work. I still pump each morning before work and twice at work to keep replenishing the stash. I continue to breastfeed when I'm home. I hope it works out for you!

How much did u pump, as far as oz@kldecambra,

In the beginning it was only about 2 ounces a day, but it gradually increased. I started back in November and for that month I had pumped a total of 64oz. The month of December was 4-7oz a day and I had 142oz total for the month. For January I pump 3 times a day now and get about 12-15oz a day. I currently have 226oz I've pumped this month.

@kldecambra, say I pump 2oz in the morning and another 2 oz at night, can I combine those 4 the day or should they be kept separate @cubanese,

I agree with @cubanese. But I always froze what I pumped immediately so I never combined a.m. & p.m. milk. I found a few ounces in a bag is better. I make bags with 2-5oz per bag.
