My 2 month old boy has had a fever (between 99.8-100.1 on and off for the past 2 days. Took him to the dr but they said that it's just a virus and it has to run its course. Said as long as fever stays below 100.4 I can't do much. Any suggestions for lowering the temp without Tylenol? I feel so bad for my little prince? He's so congested!

Breastfeeding is the best for him while he's sick. Your body is making everything he needs. Every mom is different, but I wouldn't medicate for a fever under 100. Do you have a humidifier? That can really help with the congestion.
My doctor said Tylenol was fine at 2 months but I don't give it because it compromises the immune system and they need to run a low fever to burn off the infection/virus. I did a cool bath and that seems to work. For the congestion of you breastfeed then out a little breast milk (or baby saline) in his nose and suction it it with nose frida. Also don't use Vicks period.
How old is your son? The dr ofc told me I can't give him Tylenol yet
I just went through the same thing 🙁 give him a cool bath I didn't wanna give my son Tylenol either but I gave him a little dose and it broke his fever within 30 minutes
