How did you working mom's who had to go back after 6 weeks cope? I'm spending my whole leave dreading that day!
@dabcw3814, I teach special education as well! I'm always told it takes a special person to do what we do. You will do great! It will be tough but we are all here to support you if you need it!
@beebaby, she did raise 5 kids. She wants to care for my daughter. We have hospice to assist with my dad. At times the house can be hectic plus she has my dog and cat. My dog is like another kid, I didn't name her Chaos bc she is mild mannered lol.
So sorry to hear about that, just try to stay positive. Your baby couldn't be in any better hands than your momma!
@kstout711, that's true. I work with developmentally disabled adults. I love my job and feel very blessed to have it. I feel either way I let someone down whether I stay home or go back to work. I'm very attached to a lot of individuals that attend the program I work for.
@beebaby, @kmac50, it will be my mom but I worry bc she has her hands full. My father is dying of stage 4 cancer. We all moved in together recently but my mom is 71. I'm so torn...
It is very hard for me. I just went back yesterday. I agree with @beebaby, if you trust the person it will make it better. Trevy is with my dad during the day. Also it makes the time I spend with him so much more special because it is a lot less. And I want him to know I can be both his mom and love him with everything but also do what I believe I was also meant for which is teach because it helps so many kiddos.
I cried the whole day before I had to go back...but when I was there I was ok and it made it so much easier that we have the best babysitter ever!
I went back after 4 weeks with my middle child, you do what you gotta do.
@patti28, it's so sad 😭! We are one week apart. Let me know how it goes.
