My daughter has her 4th month check up and shots coming up and one of my husbands coworkers said that we should give her Tylenol before she gets her shots. I don't know how to feel about this and Google didn't help. I need a real life response.

I would wait to see how she reacts. some babies have a fever and such some don't. just check her temp and if pay attention to see if she's sore or ache. mine didn't get a temp but her legs were sore.
@milkymama93, from my nursing perspective there's no need to give Tylenol prophylactically because you don't know how she would react to the shots. Did she get a fever the initial round of shots? The less meds you give infants unless necessary is better for them.
your Dr will get you medicine if baby has any problems with pain or anything when they get their shots. my nephew has to get pain medicine when he gets his shots.
I never did that because I don't expect the worst when it came to that. I didn't wanna predict what will happen. I really don't think it does anything in advance . Besides my son never had issues after his shots. Not all babies get sick after them
She doesn't need Tylenol unless her temperature goes over 100.4. Tylenol suppresses the immune system and their body needs to run a slight fever to learn how to fight the infection.
