Any suggestions to help pass gas? Trevy is so uncomfortable. I've tried so many things: bicycle, massage, warm bath, tummy time, burping... I'm at a loss right now.
I'll anything about them and I've never used them but I've heard of gas drops
I always try to burp halfway though and then at the end. It's so hard to get burps out sometimes.
He takes anywhere between 2-4 ounces but I always make a 4 ounce bottle because I never know how much he wants.
When I make a bottle I just put it in with the formula before I mix it. It's okay if he doesn't always finish, since there is no set amount of mylicon he has to have. I use the smallest amount on the dropper. .3ml I think it is. My doctor had recommended to do this with every bottle and it has helped. How much does he normally drink at one time? My doctor also recommended trying to burp more often during feeding like every ounce, but my son screams when you take his food away so that one is hard for me to do.
@starienite, when should I put it in. There are times when he doesn't finish the bottle.
Yes it's safe! I've also used baby gas drops and that works quickly too and it's a little cheaper than the gripe water. But gripe water has been a life saver for me
The only thing that worked for us (and we tried EVERYTHING!) was doing bicycles but bringing each knee to the opposite armpit. It got way more gas out than just doing plain bicycles. And do it for at least ten minutes. My guy was super gassy from about 1 month to 3 months.
my little one is super gassy too, gripe water only worked a few times for me, gas drops too. Laying him flat on his tummy across my legs and patting his back helps a lot. It doesn't hurt to try different methods, every little one is different. I have tried everything from the clockwise belly massage, the rocking legs and feet together towards the hips, bicycling move, etc. It's crazy something so little can be so gassy, but their bellies are learning digestion and building themselves to work better so I guess it's understandable.
