I swear money is a BIG ISSUE in my relationship right now! I work hard for my money yet "he" makes…

I hear you! We have a joined bank account and still don't have enough money! He has an AMAZING job and I still have to get another one. 😵

@beebaby, No. We are in a relationship not married. He shouldn't be spending my money when he gets a check every month PLUS a check every week. Especially when he uses it for cigs etc

@jessicalyn I'm scared to get a joined bank account with him because he might spend ALL the money! I would explain the WHOLE situation but it's to much to type. He doesn't know how to manage & it seems like he's being selfish.!

when he asks, tell him no, you have other things that are more important. its your money and you're not married so he has no right to it. You have to be stern and stand your ground. if he doesnt know how to manage his own money thats his own problem and he needs to figure it out.

@jacqui2012.jl, I'm going to start saying no because it's not my problem. I have a baby now & that is where the money needs to go for his needs . He hasn't provided NONE since he has been born. Nor does he provide for me. I guess I don't want to leave him because of the pictures in my head of being a single mother...no little family etc

exactly, its not your problem. The baby is what matters and hes gonna need to step up if hes not providing anything at all. Id file for child support. it'll be a huge wake up call for him cause they will take it out of his paycheck whether he likes it or not.

@mommietobe92, I understand that 100%!! It was soooo scary joining bank account!! I'm glad I did now. Have you ever thought of trying it then if it doesn't work just going back to separate?

@jessicalyn, I'll think about it haha I know a baby is a BIG step...but I just don't know about bank accounts yet...shoot I'm nervous about taxes coming up...he wants me to file them for some reason...I'll look more into that when the time comes
