There are times where I truly miss being in a relationship. Being needed, feeling loved, having that type of support from another human being. People don't understand how hard it is to be a single mother sometimes. I chose to do it for many reasons, and my son will never have his biological dad in his life. It breaks my heart at times but it's definitely a good thing! I hope that he never resents me for keeping his sperm donor away, because lord knows if I actually would've stayed with him my son would not have the life he does with me on my own. I know that it would be a toxic environment to be around him and his family. But, Also I think from their stand point. Can people honestly just not care that they have a child they know nothing about? If I knew I had a child and had never met them I would at least ask about them. Are they okay? How much did they weigh when they were born? What is their birthday? I just can't understand how people are so careless and selfish. I know that eventually someone may come along and change my mind, but it would take a lot to convince me that someone is worthy of being the father figure for my son.
