Ladies I have a question... my little boy is 4 weeks old and I'm exclusively breastfeeding. His feeding doesn't seem to have slowed down at all. he feeds from 10 to 15 times in a 24 hour period, and anything from 5 to 25 minutes per feed. He has one boob per feed in the hope he gets the thicker milk at the end. Does this seem excessive? I'm exhausted feeding every hour to two hours. I don't know what's normal and what's not! he has regular wet and dirty nappies. I was hoping it would start to stabilise and have longer between feeds now, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this up :-(

thank you @littleelf85 @taralou . I feed on demand during the day, and have tried to cluster feed in the evenings on the run up to bed time. I'm not sure how much difference it's made as he still wakes at 12, 3, 5 and 7! I've had one night so far where he slept for 5 hours... I felt like a goddess after that night! I guess I'll just keep persevering in the hope he slows down soon 😴 zzzz xx

Aww hun it is difficult. i have breastfed 2 and currently 3rd. as @littleelf85 said you are past thr most difficult weeks. i breastfeed on demand so i just feed whenever my baby wants to feed and it differs. Some days its every 2hrs or she sleeps more and its 4/5/6 hrs... i personally think breastfeeding on demand is best but you can cluster/block feed if you like.. xx
