Hello all! I have a birth control question! So I have had Mirena since February. I want more kids one day, just not right now.
Anyway, I heard that there is a higher chance of conception after stopping birth control.. is that true for Mirena too?
Also, is it more likely to conceive multiples after stopping BC? I'd LOVE to have twins one day. Has anyone conceived twins right after removing Mirena or another IUD?

Depending on the person I can take months to conceive or you could right away. Twins are genetic trait so If they run on your side then you have great chances of twins.

^^ definitely agree. I was on the mirena for 5 years. It took me 3.5 years to conceive. And I had two miscarriages back to back after the mirena

It just depends. I got my Mirena removed and got pregnant 2 months later. Just got my 2nd one about 5 months ago. I haven't heard anything about twins being more likely since it's hereditary.

I had a similar experience with my mirena. We decided to have it removed in January of 2016, we found out we were expecting in May. But definitely agree with the other Momma's in regards to twins, it's always possible you could have twins but you're more likely to have multiples if they run in your family or you are over 40.
