I never did dilate. I had to be induced but no, I didn't have a c section. You still have 4-6 weeks (depending upon your doctor) I wouldn't worry about it at all yet. FTM also don't tend to dilate early.

They will induce you first and if you don't progress c section is the final option!

My Dr said after 41 weeks he'd induce. The practice I went to tries to avoid sections if possible. Depends on the you and the dr.

At 36 weeks I wouldn't worry ... I was tight closed til like 38 weeks and then was at 1 for another week and then a 3 for almost a week, then went from 3-6 in a couple hours and had a 40 week baby!
