My birth story

at 25+6 weeks i went to what i thought would be my last MFM appointment before moving home. however after doing measurements it was discovered that there was dysistolic cord flow with reversal. MFM dr basically said either im admitted to L&D immediately or i can move and baby wont make it 24 hrs. so to L&D I go. I was on strict hospital bed rest for 8 days with daily ultrasounds to ensure that she was growing at the the blood flow in the ductus was not reversed. At 27 weeks exactly, the ductus flow had reversal. MFM ordered and emergency c-section. As the nurses prepped me for epidural her heart stopped. I was rushed from my room to OR and was put to sleep. I woke up in recovery 5 hours later not knowing where my daughter was or if she was even alive. my husband went to the NICU to find out how she was doing while i was settled into my room. When he came back i finally had some answers. Gabriela Jovita Marie was born at 8:26 am on April 7th 2016. she was born without a heartbeat but was successfully resuscitated and was stable in the nicu for the moment. and that is where my bumpy ride to motherhood began, shes home now after 3 long Rollercoaster months... thanks for reading, sorry it was so long.
