I need a day/night out. Last time we had one was in November for 3 hours. I'm just in a funk right now. Tonight was my work holiday party and I couldn't go because I had no one to watch Edith and of course alex is working per usual. The norm is him working about 70 hours a week.
I love every second I spend with her and obviously things are different now since she's my TOP priority.
Guess I'm also learning how being a (soon to be) wife of a police officer is a lonely life sometimes.
That's my main issue I guess, I'm lonely. One reason why I like going to work because I have people to talk to but that's it. No real friends because my best friend lives out of state and others I used to be friends with turned into jackasses.
Yeah, I have my sweet little babe with me and I wouldn't trade that for the world. I just don't get to go to bed with my other half like everyone else or wake up with him either.

70 hours?! is he working two jobs or something?? The struggle of being a police wife is hard but it gets easier down the road. The Academy and probation will be the hardest because the schedule is funky but it gets easier! hopefully they'll put him on a 3 day on 4 day off schedule!

He went through academy and probation almost over 3 years ago now. He works a ton of over time on top of his normal workdays @sarahbelle

ohhhhh you meant soon to be wife not soon to be officer! lol I was like why are they making him work so much in the academy?! 😂 ugh yeah the overtime sucks. It's really hard but just remember how great of a thing he's doing :) hopefully the overtime eases up!

And yes I know, some days are just harder than others! Especially taking care of a 3 month on my own most of the time. But guess I can't say much because he helps with her even before he goes to work while I'm at work on top of all that overtime 🤐
