So.... my son has rsv and luckily it's not as bad as it could have been. He's doing so much better and only getting nebulizer treatments as needed vs 3 times a day. That being said, it has only been a week since we found out and I don't think he should be at a baby shower with a bunch of people and all their germs. My boyfriend's family wants to see him which is great, but that's supposed to trump my babies health? I think not. Now he's annoyed with me and thinks I'm making an excuse not to come. I'm not a full of shit person, if I didn't want to go, I wouldn't go and I wouldn't make an excuse either.

I'm really not trying to offend you but your baby is a health threat just as much as anyone there at the baby shower. what your baby has is very contagious too.
Your baby, your decision. he's very sick and need to get better. your boyfriend is really selfish and isnt thinking of the health of his family or his child.

He should understand, rsv can get worse within hours. My daughter had rsv when she was a week ina half and it was horrible she stayed in the hospital for a week with tubes and ivs ,never again. and I never took her out or anything but people came over to see her after I said no because that's what I was afraid of and thats what happened. You do what you think is best.

No offense taken at all. I honestly didn't even think about that 😔 I thought about it affecting his baby cousins which is why I haven't brought him around them. Thank you! That's another point. Had he actually looked rsv up, maybe he wouldn't be so non chalant. His family is all concerned and had their old superstitious beliefs that I guess only apply to situations when it's convenient for then. Frankly idgas. @queeenb

they're not the parents. they can be mad all they want. He's on breathing treatments for crying out loud. Send him a link on what the baby has and ask him if that's what kind of virus he wants passed to his family. Baby needs you to protect him

He said he seems fine, which he does but that doesn't mean anything. @queeenb Some dads are clueless lol. My child would be so damaged if his dad was raising him alone 😒

dude, hes getting over a serious virus. his immune system is week and he's still very young. he needs to seriously grow up. even my husband is calling him selfish and stupid for even considering it.

He's just misinformed and was raised to be nonchalant. He's far from stupid, he just has his family in his ear which idc about. They can see him when he's well. @queeenb

and that's what you can tell the family too. as soon as he gets well he can visit or they can visit as well. I'm not saying he's stupid, his decision to take his son out while he's sick is

I'm not telling them anything lol, they haven't messaged or called me. Probably because they know better. I don't get peer pressured into anything. They're so annoying lol @queeenb I just requested you on Insta btw 😊

They are kind of educated and if they don't care to look it up themselves that's their problem. My bf probably just said he was sick and didn't tell them the severity of it. @jadonsmommy201620 oh well. I hope they enjoy themselves, I'm home snuggling with my little bubby.

Wth is it rsv season or something? My son has it too . But the hospital didn't give him a nebulizer, :( and his doctors appointment isn't until Wednesday, should I ask for one? Does it help a lot?

Not really sure... but I know it's common for babies my sons age. My son's doctor gave him one and it helped so much. The day after he started the treatments, he choked up so much mucus, it came out of his nose and mouth. He's a little stuffy and only gets the treatments as needed. I would definitely ask for one, his doctors office just gave me one I didn't have to ask. Hope your little one gets well soon, enjoy those cuddles. @domsmama96
