How long did it take your periods to go back to normal after having a baby?

I got mine like a week after I had my baby and it came again exactly a month later. But now I have an iud and don't know what the heck is going on in there! Lol

You should get your period during the 4th week/row of pills. They are usually white or a different color than the 1st 3 weeks.

Mine never went back to "normal." Before babies they weren't consistent and were NEVER over 3 days long. Post babies (and the shot that I was on for about a year) my periods are extremely consistent and I'm completely done on day 5.

I'm on the progesterone only pill because I'm breastfeeding so it keeps you from having a period/spotting. How long have you been on the combination pill? Is this your first pill pack?

Mines started back 5 weeks after with breastfeeding

@kenitra, I started the pill then also. I'm not breastfeeding, but I do take my pill religiously around the same time every night, I started spotting last night, so hopefully I'm starting.

@tiamari16 mine were normal thw first time I got my period.

Are you breastfeeding? If so, it may not come back until you stop breastfeeding. But it's different for everyone. I started the pill at 6 Weeks Postpartum though!
