My 9 year old step daughter just broke down and hysterically cried because she has been very distracted in school. Her mother never made a teachers meeting for failing grades. So the 9year old hasn't been sleeping, thus apprehensive about going to school. Options- do it myself or not over step my bounties.

I would start talking to the school and help her out. Talk it over with hubby first and make sure he backs you up.

Husband works 80 hour work weeks. He put it on her mother to do this before the holidays. So a month later this poor child has stopped sleeping.

Oh her mother would say I don't love her girls like she does. I didnt birth them like
I did my son so I couldn't possibly care as she does

Thanks everyone. Just feeling terrible that this poor girl feels lost and having anxieties about school.
