I'm not able to have an epidural due to medical reasons, how did you moms deal with the pain?

Warm bath/shower helped me a lot. I had my baby without any meds and the pain was uncomfortable but tolerable (like really bad period cramps) until I went through transition. Then it was horrible, but it only lasted like an hour.

I've had 2 births with no epidural. breathing and holding on to my hubby's hand (despite him saying I almost broke his fingers). you'll get through it momma! I know there is also stadol not exactly sure on the spelling, but it does relax you. makes you sleepy. a friend of mine got it because it was too late for her to get the epidural.

Oh wow, lucky you! It feels like that crampy feeling like when you get diarrhea. It's definitely not pleasant, but also not the worst thing in the world.
