Yes it is to an extent. My doctor prescribed me that for a horrible hemorrhoid I had and I was about 28-30 weeks pregnant at the time. I only took it when I really needed it when my pain was at its peak but if your OB gave it to you I wouldn't worry too much. If you're concerned with the risks I would call your OB and ask him/her about the risks. I hope you get to feeling better soon! ☺
