My birth story

At 5am on the 04/01 I had a bloody discharge. I was thinking no this can't be as I was 37 weeks. I've been used to carry babies right up until 40 weeks lol. Went back to sleep and got up to do the school run etc. Was having mild pains but nothing regular. It got to about 11am n pain was getting more worse. The pain felt different and my gut feeling was ok something is about to happen today. I had a midwife appointment at 12pm and she said it looks like your contracting as she felt the position of baby. Contractions were now every 5/7 mins. I collected my daughter from nursery and drove straight home. I was getting contractions while driving, I knew something was happening. Dropped daughter with mother in law and phoned hospital. They told me to come in. Got to hospital they said I was 6cm dilated and did well staying at home for that long. I had a water birth was probably the best birth I've had out of my children. Was more relaxed and contractions didn't feel as bad. The pushing was the hardest for me. Since getting to the hospital I had my baby son one hour and a half later with 2 mins on pushing. Weighing 6 pounds 10 at 37+6 days. Feeling very overwhelmed and blessed. Now it's time to get myself in routine with the children. Going to be a mad house from now 🙊
