My milk supply is slowly dropping while my baby's hunger increases and his milk storage is running low. I don't wanna start giving him formula but it's looking like I don't have any other options ☹️
@cubanese, I think she is over feeding him and yes he was cluster feeding before I went back to work. I am pumping while I'm away but I can only do so much in the allotted time that I'm given
@hiswifetheirmama, @cubanese, thanks for the info. I don't plan on quitting and I can't feed him on demand because I'm working full time and that's why I mentioned that his stored milk is running low, because he goes to a daycare and they're running out. My supply while pumping isn't keeping up with how much he eats and when he does eat from the breast he doesn't get full. My problem is that he doesn't have enough milk at daycare and my supply isn't up enough to feed him till he's satisfied and to pump to increase his storage...and he has to eat while I'm away so I think I'm gonna have to give him formula in addition to pumping and breastfeeding when he's home with me
You are allowed as much time as needed. Your job cannot tell you otherwise. My boss got upset with me until my breast started leaking in front of a patient one day. Try drinking mothers milk tea. It helped out significantly with my supply. I kept with my normal schedule of feeding (pumping) like if I was at home. When I would pump is when I would eat my snack. Make sure to drink the mothers milk about 3 times a day and drink a glass of water before and after pumping. It becomes so much stinking work, but it is worth it. If you end up losing your supply DO NOT get down on yourself. You did the best that you can for you and your sweet prince. Your babies happiness and your happiness is all that matters in the end.
