Anyone with experience with dogs please help. I lost my dog Alfred to a drunk driver and now we are looking to adopt again so my son grows up with a canine companion. I need to know what dogs might fit our life style. We live taking walks in the local park but other than that 30min walks around the neighborhood and playtime in the yard are how the puppy will get its exercise. We also really enjoy sitting around watching movies a lot so a dog thats cool to cuddle up and stay chill is a must. we live in a medium sized bouse and have a front and back yard big enough to run around in. My fiance and I have trained dogs before so we dont mind a breed that will need some training. Im a SAHM so the dog wont be alone for more than 10 total hours a week. we do have cats and one other dog so a breed that does well with both is a must. We are looking for a medium to large sized breed but nothing too huge like a st. bernard or mastiff. weve been looking into german shepherds as an option but my fiance is wary of the breed so we needed some more breeds to look at. So i was just wondering what breeds will work well for pur family. I do plan on talking to a dog trainer about this but i wanted to have specific breeds in mind to chat with her about. Thanks in advance!
@lucifermommy can you pm me about them? ive always been curious about them
I will always always always suggest pit bulls. I have had at least 2 in my house my entire life. I currently have 3, mommy daddy and one of their babies
Thanks! Ill ask her about that breed for sure! I do know that hip dysplasia is a common thing for them though so ill be sure to ask about that too! @ravens_mommy
I suggest a Boxer. My brother has one and he's the best. However, his hip is messed up, I don't know if that's a common thing or not.
@dawnrose. We know they wont live as long but weve got a tiny chihuahua already and ive had other small dogs and they just dont seem to click with as well as the larger breeds do. I grew up with larger dogs as well so thats what im used to anyways. Thanks for the AKC website advice though!
My fiance does not want a golden retriever or lab, he wants to give a different breed a chance because he feels like so many people choose those breeds and the others dont get much of a chance because of it. So thats a no go for him. Any other suggestions? @sarahbellee @shylamarie @mommy1987 @mommytotravis0427
My golden retriever to this day was my favorite dog to grow up with. I was 5 when we got him. They're wonderful breeeds.
@raquely. lol we already have a chihuahua and hes a dine little dog but we definitely cant handle another! Definitely gonna look at pit bulls too. Our neighbor has a real sweet one
golden retriever or Germany Shepard! loyal, friendly, fun, and cuddly!!!
with big dogs their life is alot shorter and more health problems.
if you go to AKC website it helps you figure out what type of dog will suit you best. even if you adopt it'll help you get an idea.
What about a golden retriever? That's what my boyfriend wants to get when we move since they're great family dogs! Or a Great Dane! They're huge but so unbelievably lovable. And great with kids
I need help!!! Something is wrong with my dog and I have no money or job to take him to the vet. I think hes dying idk
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

Guys if I was looking at a place to rent on Craigslist and I go to click on the ad again and this pops up does that mean it's a scam?? I need to know because my boyfriend and I have been talking to the person !!
So my bf just beat the hell out of my dog and idk what to do now. I want to leave but don't have my paper yet to take my dog with me anywhere I go
cat or dog?
For the ladies that have children and pets, is a puppy or kitten a better choice? After learning the truth about declawing cats, I thought maybe a puppy would be better. Was it difficult to toilet train? Were they more aggressive? What breed is good? We have new carpet but also a large back yard.
I second the bull dogs! We had two growing up and they're amazing! We also loved our little Pitt bull but I can't say how he is around children
