That is normal, they are learning to breathe out of the uterus and the best thing for them is skin to skin contact and tummy to tummy, your breathing rhythm will help his to develop better 👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 i still do skin to skin with my two month old and he has shown a drastic change,,,,

Mine was born at 34 weeks as well but they didn't keep him in the nicu they told me he was fine & they ran several test on him

Maybe because he is a preemie as well? My daughter was. Born at 34 weeks she was kept in the nicu to observe her eating

It could also be something like overactive letdown (if you're breastfeeding) or using a nipple with too fast of a flow.

you should talk to his pediatrician about that, it could be reflux but I can't say

@villanuevaleesa, I'm doing both formula & breastfeeding he usually starts chocking out of no where he will be sleeping or he will be awake & he will start chocking

if you're breastfeeding your letdown might be too much for him, it happens to my son

Reflux, perhaps? That is a symptom. If it's really concerning you should speak to his pediatrician
