My daughter won't settle in her cot and will only settle if she's getting a cuddle on a night time. I've literally tried…

I started putting Max in his crib from 7weeks. I was up & down like a yo-yo for a few nights. Took him an hour first night then each night a little less. But every babies different. Maybe she's no ready yet but will be a little later on.

we only started doing it with Harvey when he was over 3 months xxx I think if we would of done it at 1 month Harvey would of been the same as Hope xxx

@jess614 a friend of mine has a Ewan the sheep to and she said it works wonders, may have to look into getting one too... can you get the offline? @littleelf85 what's kangaroo parenting? does it mean using a carrier to have them close to you constantly? xx

@beck_yemm we've been trying since just after christmas to put Hope upstairs so around two-three weeks weeks, last night I tried the whole lay next to her and put her dummy back in her mouth every time it fell out, but she ended up getting so frustrated that I had to pick her up to calm her down. xx

until he went up to bed and I tried him settling himself he was downstairs with me and oh on one of us xx the other would make tea etc xx then we'd put him in his chair and bring him up to bed when we went xxx

exactly @nessie95 I have two boys who I feel I'm neglecting and my OH even though he gets it. my friend suggested an ewan the sheep going to buy one tomorrow hopefully will help as she said helped he lb but at this point I'm willing to give anything a go xx

she will sweet 😊 just loves mummy cuddles too much at the minute hehe xx took him about 1-2 weeks xx I lay next to him just in case his dummy falls out and he falls asleep on his own after about 15 minutes xxx

@littleelf85 I couldn't bring myself to cosleep, I was so worried I'd squash her or something even though I've fallen asleep with her on my chest and not moved an inch! yeah that makes sense! @jess614 it really is a nightmare isn't it! during the day she will sleep anywhere (including her cot if I'm jumping in the shower) at night, she hates her cot! I've tried nightlights and everything but on a night time, she just won't settle. that's just it,I love the cuddles, but I have stuff I need to do including feed myself and the OH. :/ xx

my little girls like this will only settle on me or daddy it's a nightmare as I do love cuddles but also love to be able to do other stuff and she wont sleep un moses basket cot or anything only on one of us which can be frustrating xx

she's only tiny hun I wouldn't worry xx when Harvey was that age he wouldn't settle on his own they just don't have the skills to xx he's now nearly 4 months and I put him into his crib awake and he settles xx it will come promise xxx

@littleelf85 she's completely settled on me now, but I can guarantee the second I put her in her cot, she will wake up. as I said, she had a bottle of milk and a bottle of water, don't want her to over feed and throw up (she starts projectile vomiting if she does). xx

@littleelf85 I am don't worry about that haha, but I just feel like she should be learning to settle and not just settle with a cuddle... as the cuddles end up being upto an hour long... I've currently been cuddling her for half and the second her dummy falls out her mouth when she's beginning to drop off, she wakes up and starts crying. I'd give her more to drink, but she's already had a bottle of water and a bottle of milk. :/ xx
