So i decided last minute that im going to make my own baby shower. I have 5 weeks until little man makes an appearence so why not. The thing is i have no clue where to do it. Im currently living with my mom (step father and little brother) and my 2 year old. im oretty much broke. My husband and i are seperated right now on a trial basis so id be doing this alone. He sends me money but its not nearly enough seeing as i dont work right now. Any suggestions on what i should do? should i just do a small shindig in my moms apartment? idk

I hosted (with moms help) my own shower in my house. We bought few decorations and invited quite a bit of people because half never shows anyway. Invite those that will come and bring what baby needs. Get creative and make decorations or just leave that part out. Let people help u. Don't be afraid to ask. Let your 2 year old make some creative decorations for baby. :) stay simple with chips, punch and sandwiches. Make your own cake. The shower is mainly about baby. I know some elaborate but no need to as long as you get what you want. 😊

ok well yes i agree with trying to find a small place and gather up family. or see what your family members could do to help you out. i think something should work as long as everyone are willing to put there minds together

I would say do something small with close friends/family at ur moms apt or even opting for brunch at a nice restaurant. Everyone can order there own food so u dont have to spend on that. Call ahead to reserve some tables
@my3babies its not really huge or anything but the livingroom and dinning room flow into the other and are bug enough for a small gathering. i have some relatives near by that maybe coukd help. no close friends or favorites or anything.
You may be able to rent space from a church or your local community center for a few hours... I know where I live they rent out the community center for like $50 for 4 hours. I would talk to your mom & see if she is up for allowing you to host a small get together for your little one.
how big is your mom apartment? do you have relatives thats near by? any best friends or close favorite fam to help you out at all?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
