Does letting the baby use pacifiers early afternoon their born make it difficult for breastfeeding? I have been told pacifiers help lower the risk of SIDS as does breastfeeding but they both require different muscles for the baby and introducing it too soon can confuse the baby
@deja2017 I've always waited to give my kids pacifiers. Plus they both didn't take the hospital ones although they tried to force it and I told them not only did they not like it I didn't want them to have one. The only ones they both like/liked was mam. My first son stopped on his own at 5 months and my newborn is 3.5 months and he still takes one for now but I also know when they need a paci vs eating so I'd wait until you know what they need. Therefore I agree with @mdomke22
I'm on my second baby and I am breastfeeding. with my first I waited a few weeks to introduce a pacifier and worth my current 4 day old I haven't introduced yet. I personally think it's better to wait because you feed on demand when breastfeeding especially and I think it could be easier to possibly miss a feeding by sticking the pacifier in their mouth thinking they want to suck when really they need to eat because they don't get alot out of you until your milk comes in so they need to eat a lot. lol I hope that made some sense....it's kinda hard to explain. but to sum it up I think it's better to wait a few weeks until you get to know your baby's cues on what they want and need.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
