I feel like a bad mum but my newborn won't take to my breasts so it looks like I'm going to have to formula feed :( how often do I need to do this ? And has anyone else had this problem?

Formula fed or breast, fed is best. I didn't even try breast feed and my little one is fine!
I have the midwife coming today so I will talk to her x thank you girlies
You feed on demand as you would breast feeding. I'd make 3oz bottles to begin with & go from there. Newborns commonly take 2-3oz then as he starts to drain those just up it by an oz at a time. Have you spoken with anyone (other than here) for some advice? As they may be able to give you some help if you wanted to try & continue to breast feed. If not, then it's definitely no failure.
yeah hun i was in the same position. i pumped tho i wanted to give him some immunisations etc so i tried and managed to give him breast milk and formula for 3 weeks and then just stopped pumping and kept him on formula xx
