Has anyone gotten a tattoo when they were as pregnant as me? I'm 34 weeks and the guy is saying I'm gonna lose my deposit I put down a year ago if I don't do within the next couple of weeks because he's moving so just wondering I've read as long as it doesn't get infected which none of mine ever have and I have 12 it shouldn't hurt the baby... advice

It depends on how they're paid by the shop. I would ask your dr. It shouldn't affect your pregnancy but it can cause stress to your body which isn't good and if you happen to get an infection that's not good either. Call your dr.
And yeah Kelly I would like to but doesn't seem like it's gonna happen hopefully I can get it all figured out really needing it finished
Yes he knows I am pregnant and he has said in the beginning to just come back after the baby is born but I guess he got a better job opportunity so now he's saying I'm gonna have to get it done before he leaves In two weeks or I lose the whole 2 grand I paid him for the tattoo. But someone else at his shop should have to honor the tattoo I'm thinking. But then again it's not his fault I got myself pregnant idk it's just all confusing I'll have to call and talk to the head person up at the shop and explain i am being induced in 3.5 weeks so maybe they will let me wait and someone else will finish it
I wouldn't take the chance of getting it. Just because they've never been infected doesn't mean they could be. The bigger concern is cleanliness and making sure everything is new and sterile. But check into laws also. I know alot of people won't do it if your breastfeeding or pregnant so you don't sue them in case of accident. Does he know you're pregnant?
I have my whole side outlined in cheetah from my boobs to my feet on my left side and he has to shade them in now we only got the outline done before I got pregnant

Okay I'll have to check into it because if it's illegal here then someone else will probably have to do his job I paid him for once he leaves. I'd rather wait though I don't want it coming out differently than expected thanks ladies
^^ that's true too. But if the artist is willing to do it then that's up to them
It wont hurt the baby at all. The only thing my guy warned me about is that your skin can react different during pregnancy and reject the ink or the pigments can be off and it could heal funny.
@kstout0217 I got a tattoo when I was pregnant but I didn't know I was pregnant! I was like 3 weeks according to my LMP and I didn't find out I was pregnant until 5 weeks it hurt like heck! I have 6 tattoos and that pain didn't compare to the others but I took it like a champ cause I figured tatts hurt anyway then I realized it hurt so bad cause pregnancy makes your skin much more sensitive. It healed nice and it didn't get infected and my baby is okay. But I would not recommend it!
