I cringe when I see people put their baby car seats on the top of the cart instead of inside.

Isn't that what it's actually for? Some car seats fit perfectly on it

I don't think it's what it's for @andrewsmommy, car seats are very top heavy, imagine if someone bumped into you and your car seat and baby went tumbling!! Very scary

I did it and it once and someone bumped me and the baby slid scared me so much I have never done it since

@tatianagivens exactly. It will tell you in the car seat manual if it's meant to be that way. Most of the time that's not the case. Just because it fits doesn't mean it's meant to be used like that. It's so higher up too if the seat fell or the cart tipped. I'm talking more about people who's seat doesn't work for that. Why even take the chance.
