They did my son's the same morning that we left . They would've done it sooner but he had jaundice

depends on the hospital but they do it before you leave. They do medicate for pain and can also give a binky that tastes sweet. it takes about 5 minutes. they put a little circle device on the winkie and go around the circle. then its done. yes they are placed on an infant sized board to make sure arms and legs are out of the way (newborns are used to being curled up)

@malachaiesmama it didnt take very long i think, but he was away for about 3 hours. Only because my nurses made the decision to take him to the nursery instead of bringing him back to me! So make sure you ask for him after a while

I had my son at night and they did it the next day.
