Ok another birth plan question ladies. Why do mommies refuse iv's during labor & delivery? Is it just because of mobility? I thought they could disconnect iv's if they wanted to. Like to go to tha bathroom n such.

idk it's kind of uncomfortable....but I had one with my first but it Just wasnt connected to anything..I think it's good to have just in case they need to immediately give you something for whatever reason

I didn't have the option to refuse an iv, they wouldn't let me. I just took mine off to use the bathroom... it was no big deal.

Ooohhhh ok ladies. Thnx so much for the info @mdomke22, @mcrowell0970, i jus didnt get why sooo many women refused them in their birth plans. I am learning soo much from this.

With the Iv it's not considered full natural labor.!
