My fiancés mom passed away 3 years ago, his dad remarried two years after to a woman he had known for less than 8 months (weird we all think and everyone dislikes her, as do I and I never even had met my fiancés mother). His dad had said many times that he wished he would've spent more time with his two sons growing up and said he missed a lot. Well, what does he do 6 months after he marries this woman? Moves out of the country 😑 and this was after we had told him we were having a baby. So baby was born this past October and they won't be back in the states to visit till sometime this year (November '17) for our wedding. It just makes me sad for my fiancé and even his dad because he might as well be a stranger to Edith by then, she's not going to know who he is. We could show pictures to her but that's not going to be the same as how she spends time with my parents. I just don't get it. It's upsetting.
