I packed everything the first time with my second. I packed travel size shampoo and body wash (I like mine better than the hospital) toothpaste etc .I packed tight underwear for the ride home, a outfit for home. I bought pads but I used the hospitals til I came home. Robe , house shoes. And of course baby clothes

depends on what your hospital provides. I just bring my own tooth brush, tooth paste, soap, towel since the hospitals are usually small and scratchy. loose fitting clothes, nursing bra and tank, hair ties, Boppy pins, Chap stick, phone charger, my own pillow. my hospital provides all post partum essentials like mesh undies and pads so I don't pack any of those. for baby my hospital provides everything except a going home outfit and a car seat. so I'm not having to pack anything besides a nursing pillow. you are usually in the hospital for a day or 2 depending on the type of birth you have. a c section you are only there for like 3 days. you really don't need much
