My daughter will be evaluated by the surgeon at the children's hospital for it. Referred by her pediatrician. If the lip tie is bad enough it can cause problems with feeding. My newborn has a few issues feeding bcuz of it and cant position the upper part of her mouth correctly to breastfeed. It also is painful for me bcuz it has caused bleeding nipples...and most of the time when I pump milk into a bottle it doesnt matter it'll dribble right out of her mouth. She also cant keep a paci in her mouth bcuz of it.
