Quick question: How many ultrasounds have you gotten so far or how many all together throughout your pregnancy? I'm on my 3rd and I have another one in 6 weeks. I have a very slight case of asthma, so they did look a little extra at her heart. Thanks to God every thing looks fine and there are no concerns at all. I just cant help but wonder why I need to be seen again so soon or is that normal? I could have sworn with my last two pregnancies I got MAYBE 3 ultrasounds.... unless I forgot, which is possible. lmao.
Is this a different OB than previous pregnancies? They all do something different. Some are more cautious than others.
I was considered high risk and I also have asthma. My asthma was kicking my butt during my pregnancy but that's not why I was considered high risk. I was high risk due to my daughter's umbilical cord.
@babynessa @angelmama12
really? so im guessing the fact that im considered slightly high risk due to very mild asthma, ill be getting more. I love seeing babygirl, I just thought they weren't telling me everything for some reason lol. I've never been considered high risk due to asthma but I guess they r just being cautious? Thanks ladies for ur feedback also.
@mommyx6 ahhh thats reassuring. I guess they r just making sure because of the mild asthma. Im like, "What r they not telling me!?" lol plus I gained some weight before my pregnancy and its probably the most ive ever weighed so maybe thats y also? They didnt say so but its possible. Thank u!
I'm on my 4th and will have more I'm not high risk but my Dr just wants to be sure because I was in previous preg.
I was never high risk from the beginning... This last ultrasound the doctor did say I was considered almost high risk, not fully if that makes sense... My asthma is seriously so minimal I never use an inhaler. And ive told every doc about it with my other pregnancies and still never had so many ultrasounds. It worries me a little as to why they are scheduling so many. Aren't doctors obligated to tell me if something was wrong or concerning though? I don't mind seeing baby girl but it just seems odd to have so many... @jacesterlingsmommy
I had 6 or 7 throughout my entire pregnancy, but I was considered high risk.
I believe I had 6 or 7, but I was high risk and that makes a difference.
@jacesterlingsmommy no its actually the same OB for both my kids. But the ultrasounds are always someone different....
