vent : so i have cousins that think im "losing" myself because i am a mom now. being a mom comes first for me before anything and anyone. these cousins dont have kids yet. if "losing myself " means i leave early from family events or dont drink as much or doesnt want anyone babysitting my kid the entire time im with my family, so be it. they dont understand and personally i feel offended simply because they DONT know what they are talking about. they dont know the guilt they dont understand the love they dont understand what motherhood is period. me and mine come first. ultimately I DO WHAT I WANT and i choose tending to my family. i dont feel like i am missing out on anything :s

I know how you feel, last night we were having a Christmas party with all my cousins, and it was supposed too start at 5 so I was going to go for a few hours. They pushed it to start at 7 and they are all mad that I decided not to go with my three kids. They all wanted to see my baby, but I'm not going to drag my kids out for when they feel like going when none of them have kids. It's frustrating
I agree with @tlistboom you know what's best. My girlfriend came over for Christmas and told me I'm becoming and old lady because I didn't stay up with her and drink all night both nights. First night I stayed up and ha two drinks and baked my turkey etc.. I have a house to run I cannot be up all night drinking and have a 2 month old baby 😒😫. Do you @spratalie and the rest can put a zip on it lol
Those who are not in the same position as you, have no say as to how you choose to mother. Don't let those get you angry/upset .. take a breath and know you are "momming" the way that is best for you and yours.

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing.
