I put box on a cotton ball and rub it inside his ear. Do it over night and always seems to work instead of medication he is always getting sick from the medication they give

Tylenol or Motrin for discomfort. Other than that you can use a warm compress like warming up dry rice or beans and putting them in a sock. Trying to keep their head slightly elevated can help too with the drainage.
