if youre on #medicaid & get accepted for #CHIP what happens ?? im on medicaid & ive been getting letters in the mail saying im  accepted for CHIP but i didnt even apply & idk what the benefits for having chip are. also if you accept chip can you still be on medicaid?? #help

if you are on Medicaid there is no reason to be on chip a less your parents income went up recently above the eligibility limit @maria.alvarez

i really dont care for it or want to be on it though but apperantly im already accepted. i live in TX. if im on medicaid , could being on chip make me lose my medicaid ?? @mommy763

it may be different depending on the state you live in, I think some states allow chip till 20 @maria.alvarez

I think cut off for CHIP is 18 or 19 at most , if you live with them and still a dependent though they may also claim your baby as a dependent instead of you @maria.alvarez

i just turned 19 & im pregnant, im due in January. right now im dependant on my parents because i have no job but i plan to get one after my baby is born @mommy763

chip is only for children under 18, it is based on your income if its low enough your baby will be put on Medicaid if you make too much chip is to provide insurance for your baby only
