well, this was the first night of putting Hope upstairs at 7. I'm bricking it for some reason. I know she is safe and we have one of those sensor mat things, but I still hate the idea of her being up their by herself. :/ still I have to do it or she will never learn upstairs means bed.

Don't want to scare you but I no longer use one as they can not always go off when a baby has stopped breathing. My daughter was on an apnea monitor which would sound but the Mat wouldn't. That's because when respiration stops or is failing the baby can jerk or making other movements. Meaning the Mst won't go off. U also can get false alarms. Which used to make me unable to sleep. So while they have a use plz don't rely on it if your gut tells u something is wrong check. I've had numerous paeds doc tell me they aren't a good idea and I no longer use one on this baby. I trust my instincts more

oh don't worry, I don't rely on it, I still make sure I check on her constantly but she tends to make a lot of noises in her sleep, so I know she is okay. I hope your daughter is okay now!

Baby won't bear weight on leg

Baby won't bear weight on leg I have a walking 10 month old and she has been extra fussy yesterday and today. Today I noticed she didn't really want to crawl, she would just cry until I came and picked her up. After I fed her, I tried setting her down to play with her big sister and she just started crying and wouldn't put any weight on her left leg. She will put weight down on her right leg but then just cries until you pick her back up. I thought maybe she just didn't want to be put down (as baby's often do). I tried a few more times over the next 30 minutes and she still won't put any weight on it. I had a meeting (I work from home), so I took her upstairs to my husband. She is now playing with her siblings and happy, but he text me (from upstairs) and says she still won't put weight on it. She is just sitting there playing.

Sooo just food for thought and a little TMI..

Sooo just food for thought and a little TMI.. We live in a row home with one bathroom upstairs. I just drank my coffee and it hit me, I had to go ! I said to Bella (18m old) let’s go upstairs mommy has to go potty ! She didn’t budge ! So I picked her up and upstairs we went. With a newborn coming in March, I’m sitting on the toilet thinking what if I had my newborn just now ? Do I carry them both upstairs ? We have a cat so i don’t think leaving the newborn in the swing would be okay ?
