Is sleeping on your right side (every once in a while) actually bad for you? It's just SO uncomfortable on the left sometimes and hurts my shoulder :(

@maria.alvarez, not many people like the wedge. I just use a boppee to curl around me and between my legs. It works okay but doesn't help when your back hurts a lot. I don't lie on back though I know not to do that for long periods at a time - just wasn't sure if it'd be okay to sleep on my right side every once n a while.

yeah, avoid it as much as possible. i only lay on my back for less than like 30 minutes a day. sometimes ill wake up randomly during the night & ill be on my back & i just flip over on my side. i sleep on one of my sides with a really fluffy thick pillow behind me on my backside, kind of tucked in a little bit behind me & with another pillow in between my legs with the top of it also barely tucked in under my bump. thats the most comfortable way for me. i bought a pregnancy pillow wedge but i honestly didnt like it.

@maria.alvarez, see, that's what I thought as well. So I never laid on my back. If anything I propped myself on pillows and laid on my tummy.. but.. put no pressure that way. Nice to know about the left/right side however - thank you!

laying on your back can cut off blood circulation bc an important artery that goes to our heart is right under there where the baby is & with his weight it could cut off the circulation. you can lay on your back, just not for long periods of time. i dont think it makes a difference if you lay on your left or right side though.

@katlovesj, oh wow, really?? I've been told laying on the back can cut off blood circulation cause of the babies weight. That's so weird!

@maygi0221, do you know what kind of pillows are good for that? I have a Small throw pillow but it doesn't seem to work and I have a boppee and that doesn't work either :(

yes I ask my midwife and said aa long you're comfortable it's fine put a pillow on the side of ur belly so it won't stretch to much.

@maygi0221, thanks (: I just kept being told you *have* to sleep on your left cause of more blood flow and... I don't know sometimes it just hurts
