My son straight up refuses pacifiers all together...And hes a big comfort nurser. He always needs to nurse to fall asleep, which was fine when he was younger but now that im trying to transition him from co-sleeping to his crib it's making things really difficult since hes easily woken up if we try to move him. Ive tried Nuk brand, Tommee tippy, phillips Avent soothie, and nuby oscillating cherry round pacifiers and he wont take any of them! I recently bought another that had special gum soothing ridges and he wont take that either. We are traveling 8 hours to wisconsin for christmas and it would be nice to be able to give him something to soothe him that doesnt require us to stop. (unless of course hes hungry or needs a change). Has anyone else had a baby who wouldnt take a Paci? I really need something to help him get to sleep and stay asleep on his own. Im fully prepared to have to wean him off of it later especially if it helps him sleep now. TIA.

Try using the MAM brand it definately helped w/my munchkin

@rari how many months is he? they have stages in the MAM brand 0-6 & 6+ they're really good especially since my son was a comfort nurser as well

Hes nearing 3 months in about a week and a half. He was a preemie though so hes still newborn sized and his mouth is little which i think might be part of the issue

@rari aww yeah my babyboy was a preemie as well the pacifier isnt big at all especially running age wise you can check them out at wal mart

My daughter would only nurse I refused to give her pacis, and she refused bottles. We had to drive to florida which was like a 20 hour drive. I sat with her. luckly my boob was/is big enough that it would reach without needing to take her out.

I would recommend sitting with him. maybe strapping him in a carrier while nursing him on the go??

@rari my son has never once taken a pacifier, i literally bought one if ever kind i could find and he refused all of them

@rari my daughter never took a paci, i nursed her to sleep till she was 18 mo and we stopped BFing. Car rides soothe... unless you have one like my son who HATES car rides. Do try MAM because they are very petite.

My son will be 3 months Wednesday. I have been trying to give him a pacifier. He won't take it. He is EBF. I tried the Gumdrop, the Nuk, and then the Mam. He won't take any. just the boob and bottle when I'm away.
