I seen on Pinterest a way to just put the whole thing in the bath tub that's what I would do and then just let it dry.

Yeah my first son barely used it, plan on using bassinet with new baby but it was stored in basement for over a year and has a smell, I was thinking about spot cleaning with warm water and dreft @beebaby

I wash the pad with baby wipes. They work great if my daughter spits up on it. But I've bought a sheet for it so I don't have to worry about it anymore.
