I was induced two weeks early because of my disease I had pitocin I was in labor with my daughter for 34 to 36 hours it was very long and tiring but as soon as I got my epidural she came in 30 min there wasn't any complications. It just took a long time

I was put on cervidil when i was induced. It actually started strong contractions for me and i dilated quickly right after they took it out so i never had to get the pitocin. As long as your body responds to the cervidil well enough you should be able to have a regular birth. And dont forget you can always say no to the pitocin if its not 100 percent necessary. i went into active labor an hour after they took the cervidil out and had my son within an hour after that. In total labor only lasted about 12 hours and i had a completely normal birth. But i was having contractions i couldnt feel when i got there so that probably played a part in it.

I was induced but I was put on cytotec instead of cervidil. However I was put on pitocin and was in labor for almost 40 hours. No c-section needed, though! I believe the reason it took so long was because I was induced a week early (what I learned later was just so it would be easier on my doctor, it wasn't needed). Before I was induced I was not thinned out, no dilation, no sign labor was near AT ALL.
