So disappointed. My mom says since I'm type one diabetic i am not even able to breast feed. I want to have that bond with my baby. Is it safe? Any other moms with juvenile diabetes able to tell me first hand if it's okay to be diabetic and breast feed?

I'll calldiabetes nutritionist in the morning. She knows a lot. What did your doctor say your levels need to be at? Mine increased my dosage and said my sugar need to stay between 60 and 90 wtf
I'm going to ask her this week when I go I will let you know what she says.
You should speak with your gyno or a lactation consultant about it thou maybe you can breastfeed your baby, which I highly recommend

Quick question to breast feeding mum i would like to breast feed my baby when she comes as I’ve never really breast fed my other 2, is it uncomfortable also how is pumping out milk????? For bottle feeds is the pump uncomfortable... I would normally just breast feed and not pump when home but I do drive so when I’m out and can’t stop I’ll have to use a bottle...I remember trying to breast feed my youngest and I keeped getting milk ducts why was that??? I think that’s why I gave up as I was scared...
opinions about breast feeding while pregnant. the receptionist at my OB told me while making my appointment to start getting her off of the boob, because breast feeding causes your uterus to contract and can cause a miscarriage or preterm labor. any ladies breast feed your LO while pregnant and should I believe the receptionist?? my baby just turned 3 months on the 23rd .I give her breast and formula sometimes. any advice is appreciated👍
