🙄🙄🙄 i shared a fear I have with my MIL about my son choking in the middle of the night and me sleeping through his death. He's been choking on his spit up a lot lately and I just get very anxious about it. I'm just a brand new mommy with an itty bitty baby and I get scared. So I told her that if he spits up and chokes when he's in his bassinet, I'll bring him into the bed with me and co-sleep with him skin to skin. Maybe it benefits me more than him. Maybe it's for my sanity. But sometimes we co-sleep. And she goes "I wouldn't co-sleep with him!"

Cool. I guess it's a good thing he doesn't sleep with you huh? I didn't ask if you would do it personally. I was sharing a fear and looking for someone to say it's normal to be this anxious. Don't turn this into a lesson on how I should raise my child. 👌

@christimary0, I would play dumb and say " well I know u wouldn't cosleep with my son ur his grandma" I'm his mom so of course I will cosleep he came out of me and we need to be close. Then if she tries to explain herself that's when I would say every parent is different and regardless of what people think or say this is my choice. My husband and I have a cosleeper attached to bed we said we were going to have baby in bed but now that he is here and so sweet we just can't resist it's just easier to breastfeed him and he likes our bed

I love co sleeping! We've co slept since we brought her home she would only sleep on my chest and she just sleeps so much better and so do I . My daughter would choke on her spit sometimes and so many times I was able to turn her to her side immediately vs not even noticing if she's in her crib. It gave me peace and allowed me to sleep so I'm all for co sleeping I even took off the front of her crib and turned it towards my bed as an addition so now that's she's bigger she still sleeps with my but on her own mattress until she comes to eat (we breastfeed)

I was worried about the same exact thing with my son and I co slept with him for his 4 months and slowly transfered him to his bassinet but sleeping on his side. I was so scared of letting him sleep on his back :/

@zaysmomma, I did some more research just in case it gets brought up again so that I can have some facts to back myself up with. Wish I would have researched it before she wanted to say something.

Co-Sleeping, how old is to old?

I personally do not co-sleep. I tried it once and woke up panicked that I rolled on him, so it's just not for me. But my question is how old is to old for a child to be sleeping with parent? I see moms with 2+ year olds, so when is your cut off? I knew someone who co-slept until 10.

babybump_user I don't think there's a set age. I co-sleep with my son and he will be 3

My baby boy has me so worried he has such delicate skin. Calling the doctor tomorrow to take him in & get checked out. No matter what lotion I use on his skin he gets like this. Breaks my heart
