how long should my 4 month old be sleeping at night? the passed few days he wakes up almost every hour! people are telling me to try baby cereal
I personally wouldn't just because cereal in a bottle can be a choking hazard. He is still young and may be adjusting. Idk if you cosleep or not but I found that my babies just wanted to be near me so co sleeping worked for us. Anyways he may be wet or is he gassy? Or colicky? If he is waking up to nurse I would nurse on demand, it may be soothing. If he's bottle fed and hungry he may just need another ounce before bed depending on how much he is drinking. As for sleeping, some babies can sleep longer than others without feeding. they should be sleeping roughly 8 hours in the night but it won't always be sleeping through the night ...but they should be sleeping a total of 14 hours through out the day. Baby is still young so don't worry if he is waking to feed or just to wake up. Enjoy this time momma, it goes by so quick. Anyways hope my rambling somewhat helped lol
i wouldnt do cereal in bottle. especially if not directed by his ped. i have a baby like yours. barely sleeps. cat naps lasting only 20 min ugh since he was born, hes 8 months now. its normal. but you can try many things, if still doesnt work just bear with him it will get a lil better.
