What do you do after you find a pediatrician? Am i supposed to schedule an appointment before baby is born, what if she isn't here yet? What is the actual procedure someone PLEASE!?

You don't technically have to call the pediatrician before. Unless you want to. Once baby is born you can schedule the appt. the hospitals tell u 2 days after going home. But most of these pediatricians are always full they give u an appt until like a week after.

@valrocks Thats freaking awesome that they have separate waiting areas. I just scheduled a "meet and greet" with one that was recommended. I should look at at least another one to have options

I called around and decided on one a few weeks before he was born. They told me that once the baby was born to call back and make an appt. they said that they usually have free spaces available for newborns in the morning. At my dr all newborn spots are between 9-10 in the morning so it's more quiet and the sick kids usually come later in the day. They also have a separate waiting area for newborns, well kids and sick kids.

after I gave birth my hospital recommended me some pediatrics and I called there at the hospital to set up an appointment, I think you have to have your baby first if I'm not mistaken 🤔 not sure how everyone else did it but that's how it happened for me, I has just like you at first, super confused!
