How am i only 3 days away from having my first baby and just now hearing of this uterus "massage" we get every couple of hrs after birth. What. The. Fudge. 😫😱😨
I hated when they did it because it was so tender still :/ but after a few times i didn't mind it
also they could teach you how to do it it's only massage in your lower abdomen about every 15 minutes . it helps to tighten and stop bleeding.
@maygi0221 im mainly wondering how the first time i ever heard about it was through a "I Love Lucy" GIF on fb!!? lololol it was her like pounding some dough up and it said "what it REALLY feels like when the nurse "massages" your uterus after birth. and my face was all 😱😱😨😵😦
The "massage" is to help the uterus go back to its original size. It also is for your caregiver to know whether or not your uterus is doing what it's supposed to do after giving birth...they check to see whether or not it's firm, and by massaging it down it helps expel the stuff that's still in there
@rmreed i guess they massage ur uterus to help it "back to normal" but i dont wannaaah
Lol tbh I don't know it's to make sure your uterus goes back to its regular size and correct area
Girl it ain't all that. The first one hurts kind of because the L&D nurse presses pretty hard. After that they're not as hard on you. At least that was my experience. Unless you get a c-section, it's painless after the first check. 👍🏼
