so a couple nights ago my house caught fire. it did the most damage in the living room, which was conveniently is where all my baby boys presents were. he lost ALL of his Christmas presents. he also lost a lot of his furniture including his pack and play, highchair, bouncer, mickey mouse walker and a big box of his toys. all of his clothes got smoke and water damage. I grabbed what I could of his clothes to try to wash. everything else is still in my smoke filled house. along with his crib set that came with his crib, a wardrobe and a changing table dresser. I don't care how much of my stuff was lost, what kills me the most is that a lot of my baby boys stuff was destroyed. my house is not livable and my family and I will be staying in a hotel till after March. please keep my family, my little boy and me in your prayers. it is going to be a very difficult Christmas and few months. it sucks this had to happen on my baby's first Christmas. thank you @ciraclesmiracle i hope they do too. but the house won't be livable till after March. so I'm not sure how soon they get the renters insurance situation done.

@liamsmommy5116, there will be an investigation of why the fire started. If that is cut and dry then it should be quick. The insurance claim is almost always processed before work is started. I'm not as familiar with renters insurance, but I assume it will take about the same amount of time as the homeowners claim 🍀🍀🍀
